Senator Gillibrand has been a true Blue Dog Democrat, supporting a right wing agenda that is difficult to differentiate from a Republican agenda. It’s up to the Green Party of New York now to find a candidate for U.S. Senate, to give progressive voters a choice they can feel good about in 2010.

Here in New York State, both of our United States Senators voted against Senate Amendment 1434. Charles Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand voted to maintain no-bid government contracts.

Why Won’t Schumer and Gillibrand Support Cluster Bomb Ban?

The Cluster Munitions Civilian Protection Act of 2009 would deal with this problem by prohibiting the U.S. government from selling or giving cluster bombs to any foreign country.

Gillibrand Won’t Support Bill Protecting Upstate Drinking Water

Don’t we have the right to know what’s being pumped down through the aquifers where they get their water for washing, and for drinking? Apparently, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand doesn’t think so. She has failed to sign on as a cosponsor of S.1215, though as a New York State Senator, she should have been among the first to do so.
