Mountaintop Coal Removal Is An Upstate New York Issue

For as long as we use energy created through the destruction of energy, mountaintop removal coal mining needs to be a Green Party issue, and not just in those states where the mountains are actually destroyed. The pro-mountain Green coalition needs to stretch across all states where mountain destruction is used to power our homes and businesses.

Gillibrand Won’t Support Bill Protecting Upstate Drinking Water

Don’t we have the right to know what’s being pumped down through the aquifers where they get their water for washing, and for drinking? Apparently, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand doesn’t think so. She has failed to sign on as a cosponsor of S.1215, though as a New York State Senator, she should have been among the first to do so.
