Upstate Greens was created in order to give a voice to members of the Green Party of New York State living outside of the NYC metropolitan area and Long Island. As members of smaller communities living far from the high-power bustle of downstate New York, we have our own political and organizational issues. It’s easy for upstaters to get lost when standing in the shadow of downstate, so we’ve created this place in order to shine a light of our own, one that suits our scale.

Upstate Greens aims to bring news of Green Party organizational activities from Upstate New York, and to facilitate networking between members of the Green Party living upstate. We don’t know everyone, however, and we can’t possibly keep track of everything that’s going on.
